Versatile wastewater treatment solutions delivering high-quality effluent for water reuse and long-term water security.
Adaptable MBR Treatment for Complex Wastewater Challenges
Wastewater treatment needs vary widely across municipal and industrial sectors, requiring adaptable and efficient solutions. Powered by Miranda Water Technologies, the Membrane Bioreactor (MBR) system is designed to treat a diverse range of wastewater while producing high-quality effluent suitable for reuse or safe discharge. Its advanced biological treatment and ultrafiltration process ensure consistent performance across different applications, supporting sustainable water management while meeting regulatory standards.
Key Features & Benefits

High-Quality Effluent for Reuse and Safe Discharge
The MBR system’s ultrafiltration membranes serve as a physical barrier, eliminating suspended solids, bacteria, and viruses to produce exceptionally clear and disinfected effluent. This advanced filtration process removes the need for additional chemical treatment and ensures compliance with stringent environmental regulations.

Versatile Wastewater Treatment for Multiple Sectors
The MBR system is built to treat a wide range of municipal and industrial wastewater, offering a reliable solution for facilities managing diverse and fluctuating treatment demands. Whether handling municipal flows with varying loads or high-strength industrial effluents, MBR ensures consistent performance and regulatory compliance, even in challenging and unpredictable wastewater conditions.

Compact, Modular, and Scalable Design
The MBR system maximizes space efficiency by removing the need for large sedimentation tanks. Its modular design allows for seamless scalability, adapting to changing flow capacities and future expansion with minimal infrastructure adjustments.

Low Sludge Production and Operational Efficiency
The advanced membrane filtration system reduces sludge production, lowering operational and disposal costs while minimizing environmental impact. By optimizing biomass retention, the system enhances treatment efficiency and reduces maintenance needs. Automated processes and real-time monitoring further reduce manual intervention and improve operational efficiency, ensuring long-term cost savings.
How the MBR System Works
The Membrane Bioreactor (MBR) system is an advanced wastewater treatment technology that combines biological treatment with ultrafiltration membranes to remove organic matter, nutrients, and pathogens. This results in treated water that meets reuse and discharge standards while minimizing environmental impact.
Pre-Treatment: Removing Large Particles
Before entering the MBR system, wastewater is passed through fine screens to eliminate large particles and debris. This step prevents clogging, protects the membranes and equipment, and ensures efficient performance of the system.
Biological Treatment: Breaking Down Contaminants Naturally
After pre-treatment, wastewater enters the biological treatment stage, where microorganisms break down organic pollutants and nutrients in two key zones:
- Anoxic Zone (Low Oxygen): Specialized bacteria remove nitrogen compounds and phosphates, helping to prevent nutrient pollution and meet water quality standards.
- Aerobic Zone (High Oxygen): Oxygen is added to support bacteria that consume organic waste, further breaking down contaminants and improving water quality.

Membrane Filtration: Ultrafiltration for High-Quality Effluent
After biological treatment, the wastewater flows into the membrane filtration unit, where ultrafiltration membranes act as a physical barrier to remove suspended solids, bacteria, and viruses. This final step ensures a clear and disinfected effluent without the need for additional chemical treatment.
