James Ross is a senior finance professional and entrepreneur specializing in Environmental, Renewable Energy, and Technology sectors. With a proven track record in Mergers and Acquisitions and Corporate Finance, he has held senior roles as Director and CFO of both public and private companies in telecommunications, power, IT, and recycling industries, with operations in Asia and the Americas.

Mr. Ross’ executive experience includes co-founding Northstone Power as President, serving as VP Finance at Westlock – Algonquin Power, and CFO of Daxxes Corporation, an IT firm with operations in India, Beijing, and the U.S. He is also a Partner at Sage Stone, where he has helped develop, finance, and transact over $5 billion in renewable energy and power projects, and advised on acquisitions, divestitures, and project finance.

As President of JSR Capital, a venture capital firm focused on environmental and technology investments, Mr. Ross also facilitates corporate finance, operations optimization, governance improvements, and international ventures. He holds an MBA from York University and a B.Env. from the University of Waterloo.
