Michael Skinner brings over two decades of leadership and expertise in water technology, innovation, and business development. He has a proven record of scaling companies in the clean technology sector, with a focus on sustainable and decentralized water solutions. Michael currently serves as President and Director of Rainmaker Worldwide Inc. He previously served as CEO of the company, where he advanced innovative water treatment systems, including atmospheric water generation (AWG) and wastewater technologies, to address critical global water scarcity challenges. He is also the CEO of Miranda Water Technologies.
He also served as CEO of the Innovation Cluster in Peterborough, a high-impact business incubator that supported more than 400 startups across sectors including agtech, cleantech, and health innovation. Under his leadership, the Cluster generated over $50 million in regional economic impact and helped establish Peterborough as a hub for sustainable innovation. In addition, Michael served as Chair of the Centre for Alternative Wastewater Treatment (CAWT), a globally recognized research facility accelerating applied research and commercialization through academic–industry collaboration.
